Poland is experiencing something of an electric bike surge that can be mirrored in most European countries.
The Polish market for bicycles and e-bikes expanded by approximately 10% this year. The number of cycling commuters has been showing a significant growth in the past few years.
The Polish Cycle Association (PSR, Polskie Stowarzyszenie Rowerowe) say the main reason for this development in cycle usage is time-saving, with capital Warsaw having a staggering number of cars (twice as many registered cars per 1,000 inhabitants than in Berlin.
As well as growing sales, Poland is also the fifth biggest exporter of bicycles in the EU with 1.1 million units.
