The Cambridge city wards of Chesterton and Abbey could be linked by a new pedestrian and bike bridge if councillors approve the project. The £4.5 million route would link land between Ditton Walk and Fen Road across Ditton Meadows and the river in Cambridge. The 44-metre long bridge would precede the arrival of the new Cambridge North train station later this year.
