One day, electric bikes may well be taking us where we want to go by themselves, if this technological terror is anything to go by!
Boston Dynamics are owned by Google, and their latest robotics experiment (who knows what they have designed that we haven’t seen yet!) is called Handle. As you can see in the video, Handle can carry heavy weights, navigate uneven ramps, and actually jump obstacles at nine miles per hour. Handle’s weight-balance distribution looks amazing, presumably a clever mix of software and gyroscopes?
According to the article, Google are looking to offload Boston Dynamics as they find their research to be ‘frightening’ to consumers. I don’t know, I think the possibilites for two-wheeled transport is huge. Never mind self-driving cars, I can see self-driving bikes for sure.
