Sorry everybody, but your fancy electric bike is so old hat. Nobody rides on roads anymore - it’s time to take to the skies!
Perhaps not quite yet, but that fantasy of us all flying around ‘Jetsons’ style may come to pass sooner than we ever thought. The US military has successfully demonstrated the flying capabilities of a quad-copter hoverbike that it claims could transform the battlefield.
Developed by engineers from the US and in collaboration with UK manufacturer Malloy Aeronautics, the so-called Joint Tactical Aerial Resupply Vehicle (JTARV) is being developed as a method of rapidly resupplying troops on the front line - the Army likened the concept to “Amazon on the battlefield.”
The Army say they are looking to increase payload, extend the range up to 125 miles, as well as advanced intelligent navigation for more dynamic and challenging missions.
Guys, get in touch with Bosch now, they could hook up a CX motor and a Nyon for you!
